I think it is wrong for the administration to restrict what students can wear to school to this level of unfairness. They should have given everyone–and their parents–a heads up before students bought their back to school clothes. Additionally, limiting the dress code to this extent really can have a negative impact on someone’s self image. Many girls like to wear jeans that make them feel good about themselves; as a girl I would feel self-conscience wearing really baggy jeans. Personally, this dress code policy is definitely directed towards females and is wrong. This dress code basically is implying that, according to administration, the students have no morals–which is an unfair judgement and stereotypical. I agree that these rules should not be forced upon everyone at the fault of a couple students. Also, I do not see how a Northface jacket would violate any sort of dress code whatsoever, and the whole purpose of a jacket is to keep warm in the winter. It is clear that this dress code is extremely controversial, and should be reconsidered.
