“A student should not be rejected from a college because of low test scores, because some students are simply not commendable test takers. This fault in the SAT exam is harsh and, frankly, stupid.”

I realize you aren’t in college yet, but college revolves around test taking. There’s no nightly workbook assignments that can save your grade if you bomb a test. The bottom line is that there is no such thing as being a “bad tester.” All that really means is that you put forth so much effort in school that you over-achieve. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, either. Personally, I probably wouldn’t have been accepted to many colleges without the SATs. I did not put forth much effort and I under-achieved in school; does that just mean that my higher SAT scores weren’t an accurate depiction of my intelligence?

P.S. The SAT’s absolutely perform the task of separating those with 4.0s from schools in Massachusetts from those who have 4.0s in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
