“I play club soccer for NEFC GA.”
Do you participate in any other school activities, if so which ones?
“I play basketball for WHS.”
Do you plan on continuing soccer in college, if you are where and why?
“Yes- I am verbally committed to play soccer at Fairfield University. It was a long couple of months deciding where I wanted to go, but ultimately I chose Fairfield because I love the coaching staff, the girls on the team and the campus. I am super excited to start next July!”
What are some of your goals for the season and how do you plan on accomplishing them?
“A goal of mine is to score more goals and have more assists than I did last year. I had around 14 goals and seven assists, so hopefully I can do better for my senior season.”
What advice do you have for underclassmen that play your sport?
“Not everyone is going to play on varsity. If you want to play, you are going to have to put in extra work outside of captains practices during the summer and regular practices during the school year.”
What team are you most excited to play this season and why?
“I am most excited to play Canton because it is senior night. It will be a great night to celebrate the seniors on the team. I am super excited but sad it is my last senior night for WHS soccer.”
What’s your favorite part of soccer at WHS?
“My favorite part of soccer at WHS is the culture. There is such a great group of girls on the team- our bond continues to grow as the season goes on.”
What is your proudest moment as an athlete?
“My proudest moment as an athlete is committing to college early in my junior year. It was like the years of work and dedication I put into the sport were finally beginning to pay off and the year or so I spent on recruiting was all worth it to end up at a school that I love.”
What is your pre-game ritual? (Songs, pre-game meals, etc.)
“I always go to Dunkin or Starbucks on gamedays. Pre-game, I always have a bag of cheerios.”
Julie Borto:

“Club Soccer at New England Surf.”

“National Art Society.”
Do you plan on continuing soccer in college, if you are where and why?
“No.”
What are some of your goals for the season and how do you plan on accomplishing them?
“To win games and score goals.”
What advice do you have for underclassmen that play your sport?
“Enjoy it and have a fun time no matter the outcomes of games.”
What team are you most excited to play this season and why?
“Norwood because I have a couple friends on the team.”

“The people on the team.”

“Being made captain and coming back in games where we are down”

“I play softball.”

“WHS softball, NHS, Red Cross Club, Morgan’s Message and Spanish Club.”

“No.”
What are some of your goals for the season and how do you plan on accomplishing them?
“To do our best in every game and form a lasting team bond.”
What advice do you have for underclassmen that play your sport?
“To work hard and enjoy your time in the program because it goes by fast!”

“Needham because it is always a fun and competitive game.”

“The people who I get to play with.”

“Winning the state championship for softball in my sophomore year.”

“I bring the same water bottle to every game.”

“I participate in Unified Track.”

“No.”

What are some of your goals for the season and how do you plan on accomplishing them?
“We want to win more games than we did last year… to get this done we are going to work really hard in practice.”
What advice do you have for underclassmen that play your sport?
“Do not lose motivation or be discouraged if something does not work out the way you wanted it to.”

“Norwood because it should be a fun win.”

“The team/community.”

“Scoring my first varsity goal against Concord Carlisle.”

“I am in control of the music on the bus, I like to play hype songs that everyone sings along to.”
