Approaching their last week ever at Walpole High School, the seniors will face the happiest and saddest days of their lives. Although the seniors realize they may never see many of their classmates ever again, they know that they have a whole world ahead of them. Whether they are off to college or heading into the work force, the seniors are going to make their last week at WHS one to remember. Student Council is helping contribute to these lasting memories by organizing dress-up days so the seniors can participate in their last school spirit event of their high school career and organizing an ice cream party for the seniors to celebrate their last days of high school.
Starting off on Wednesday, May 18 up to the seniors’ last day on May 24, the dress-up days are as follows:
5/18: Club/Activity T-Shirt Day
5/19: College T-Shirt Day
5/20: Rodeo Round-up Day
5/23: When I grow up Day
5/24: Rebel Pride Day
Creativity can be brought out on Rodeo Round-up day by wearing any form of cowboy-horse riding-hick-like clothing (which includes but is not limited to straw hats, cowboy boots, and a piece of hay in one’s mouth). For the When I grow up day, any desired occupation’s uniform will do, or students can spice it up by being more truthful in their childhood dreams. Senior Josh Cofsky wanted to be a candy cane when he was little and many people are hoping he will be dressed in white and red stripes on this day. Students of all grades are encouraged to dress up every day, but the ice cream social scheduled for Friday, May 20 during lunch is exclusively for seniors. On the seniors final day, fun pop music mixed with breaks of emotionally saddening music will be played throughout the hallways between classes just to add another flair to seniors’ goodbyes.
With the film festival, graduation, and now the student council run events in the last week of school, the seniors are sure to close up their high school years with lasting memories as they prepare themselves for a lifetime ahead of them.

I am the Chairperson of the Senior Class Sponsors this year, and some of my seniors have expressed a desire to have a Senior Week. Our school has never done this (at least not to my knowledge or theirs), so I had no idea where to even start. These are fabulous ideas! Thanks so much for posting this. 🙂
