Good music, good food, and ridiculous dancing- this combination pretty much sums up the Sophomore Semi. On Friday May 8th, the sophomores boarded the Provincetown for the second time and danced the night away.
The student goverment worked alongside Mr. Joseph Braccini all year to create a Sophomore Semi unlike all the rest. Sophomores in the past had complained about their semi not even comparing to the Freshmen boat cruise. So, running off that idea Class President Sarah Buckley, Vice President Sabrina Dorronsoro, Class Treasurer Mike Siteman and Class Secretary Victoria Hebner brought the sophomores back to the boat.
Despite the spacious top deck with plenty of room to dance, the sophomores found a way to squish all 177 of them into one section of the boat to ensure a sweaty mosh pit. While no teachers showed off their moves, every student on the boat danced once or twice throughout the night. Even Mary Erwin, who showed up on the boat with a boot due to a foot injury, danced the night away with no worries.
The Sophomore Boat Cruise was a night to remember and went off without a problem. The festivities ended at 10:15 and all the Sophomores boarded their buses content with their night of food, music, and fun. Despite the traffic due to the Red Sox game, the bus ride home was filled with reminiscing and laughter, and when the sophomores arrived home they were all danced out and ready for a good night’s sleep.
