If you were trapped on an island what three things would you want with you?
I would want some sort of music device, picture of my family, and a sketchbook or journal for writing.
Before you came to WHS what other art related courses have you taught?
I taught at Boyden for 9 years and used to teach undergraduates in college.
What is the most interesting thing you have done?
I once spent a summer in a Communist village in the south of France. It was for an art program and there was only about 250 people living there.
What are the specific ways you teach your students?
I try to lead the students into answering their own questions by asking the right ones.
What is your horoscope?
Between a Virgo and a Libra.
Has any of the reading of your horoscope come true?
Um, I don’t know, that’s a tough one.
What do you like to watch on Friday nights?
I like to watch movies with my family. Some of my favorite shows are 24, 30 Rock, and some series that are off the air like PBS: Mystery Series and Boston Legal. My daughter is a huge fan of Lord of the Rings.
When you were in high school, did you buy your lunch, or pack your lunch?
I packed lunch and still do.
If you had a moral conflict of what you would put on your hotdog, would it be ketchup or mustard?
Very spicy mustard.
What is your favorite mystical creature?
Fairies are my favorite.

A pool table and give it its own room, plane tickets for places I would like to go (top of the list is New Zealand).

Tough decision. Richard Diebenkorn (California contemporary artist) because he inspired me in college.
