The Boys Varsity Soccer team played a nail-biting game Tuesday September 29, 2009 against Walpole’s number one rival Norwood. After being behind for most of the first half, the boys came back and tied the game 1-1. The game started out slow with captain Alan Garry playing a solid game on defense. By a little bit more than half way through the first half Norwood scored an impressive goal. Not willing to lose the game, captain Pat Connolly scored an equally impressive goal towards the beginning of the second half. Despite great offense showed by Walpole, the boys just couldn’t break through Norwood’s defense. The boys ended the game with a 1-1 tie. A good game was played by all. The boys play in Needham Wednesday October 7.
