The Walpole Girls Soccer Team played Milton for the second time this season on Friday, October 23, both teams prepared for another tough match and were ready to give their all. The previous time they played Milton on September 25, the Rebels scored one goal and registered a shutout against a strong Milton team. Sophomore Kerianne Brady shot the ball right outside the penalty box and hit the cross bar. Christina Freiberger, also a sophomore, was positioned by the net – a position that just happened to be where the ball went. She did not kick it into the goal or even head it; the ball luckily smacked off her face and went into the goal-pulling the Rebels ahead by one. The intensity built up through the course of the game as many fouls and corner kicks were called. The Milton Girls Soccer Team managed to get a goal off the Rebels with 20 minutes left on the clock – tying the game 1 to 1 . Despite their hard work, the Walpole and Milton Girls Soccer Teams left the field upset with another tie added to their standings.
