Typically, the “Twilight” series comes to mind when the word “werewolf” is heard, and one can expect the same elements as the not-so-liked movies. “Teen Wolf” may seem just like another “Twilight,” but it is far from it. “Twilight’s” ship is sailing; the last movie is almost out and soon it will be forgotten about. “Teen Wolf” fans have been craving this second season since the season one finale.
“Teen Wolf” is a TV show about an average teenage boy, Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), who was viciously attacked in the woods one night, resulting in a bite wound on his side. The next day, the bite was completely healed and he was capable of things no human should be capable of doing, like having lightning-fast speed and smelling things from miles away. He soon discovers that he was bitten by a werewolf, specifically an Alpha (the head of a pack). Scott confides in his best friend, Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), who puts forth great efforts to help Scott control his abilities. Scott finds himself in trouble when he falls for a fellow student, the daughter of a werewolf hunter, Allison Argent (Crystal Reed).
A lot of things happen in the “Teen Wolf” series that make it a must-see show. It has all the elements of being an amazing show such as action, romance, drama, humor, horror, and so much more. This show has fans on the edge of their seats from start to end. Every episode from the first season ended with a cliff hanger and had fans anxiously awaiting the next episode.
The highly anticipated second season aired on Sunday, June 3, at 10 pm and then aired again at its original time of Mondays at 10pm on MTV. The two night season premiere was a great way to start the intense season off. The season two trailer was one thing that got “Teen Wolf” fans talking. The trailer showcased unimaginable events that would be seen in the next episode, causing fans to go wild for more “Teen Wolf.”
The first two episodes lived up to the expectations “Teen Wolf” fans had. A lot of new things happened in the first two episodes such as Allison’s dad having Scott at gun point. Once Allison sees her dad doing this, she begs him not to pull the trigger along with promising that they will never see each other. A new character was introduced, who is revealed as a newly bitten werewolf craving human blood in the second episode. To add another twist, Allison’s grandfather, who she has not seen since she was three years old, is the new principal of the school because some of the Argents sneakily tortured the old principal to leave. In the last scene of the second episode, Allison almost got attacked by an unknown creature that even Scott did not recognize. This creature was not a werewolf but it has been causing a lot of tragedies and deaths in the town. Finding out what this creature is could be similar to the first season of “Teen Wolf” when viewers were trying to find out who the Alpha was.
The second season may even surpass the greatness of the first season. Now that all the characters have been set in place and new conflicts have appeared, the show has so many paths it can take plot wise. The show has grabbed people’s attention and will not let them down.
