Back by popular demand, the second annual Winter Ball is expected to be bigger and better than last year’s dance. Walpole High School Student Council will be hosting the Winter Ball on Friday January 11, 2013 from 7:00 to 10:30 pm in the Walpole High School cafeteria.
Attractions of this year’s Winter Ball will include entertainment from Club T, a candy bar, and a Photo Booth where friends can take goofy photos together to remember the night. The Winter Ball is a school-wide dance that is open to all grades, and winter decorations will transform the cafeteria into a winter wonderland for the night. Unlike last year’s dance, there is no color dress code, so students may wear whatever semi-formal attire they would like. To assuage some of the pressure and anxiety of a school dance, there are no dates for the Winter Ball–just friends having a good time. Student Council is expecting a larger turnout than last year; those who attended the first annual Winter Ball had a great time, and several who did not attend wish that they did. Student Council representative Claudia Schoenthaler said, “I think we had good attendance last year and there will be more people this year, so the dance will be even better.”
