Boys Hockey: On Wednesday Night, Boys Hockey took advantage of their lone game of the week by romping Dedham 4-1. Senior Captain Tom McNamara had a big game by netting a goal to seal the win. Senior Captain Pat Baker was a huge defensive presence in the win.
Girls Hockey: On January 15, Girls Hockey failed to earn a win against Dedham as they lost 4-2. In the losing effort, sophomore Olivia MacMillan and freshman Erin Donahue each had a goal for the Lady Rebels. The Lady Rebels could not snap their winless streak as they once again fell to rival Norwood 3-1. Macmillan netted the lone goal for Walpole.
Boys Basketball: On Tuesday Night, Boys Basketball defeated Dedham 58-42 despite senior Ryan Fogarty sitting out with an ankle injury. Senior Nick “the fridge” Cordopatri stepped up big while coming of the bench to anchor the Rebels defense. The Rebels continued their strong week as they rocked rival Norwood 72-41 in a blowout win which was the first game Fogarty came back from injury. However, they could not continue their win streak against 5th ranked New Mission losing 59-41. Senior Captain Adam Quinlan had a game high 17 points.
Girls Basketball: Girls Basketball got back to their winning ways after defeating Dedham on Tuesday Night 50-47. Junior Summer King had a monster game with 11 points while dominating the boards hauling in 21 rebounds. Girls Basketball dropped their game to Norwood 56-42 which dropped their record to 4-6. King once again led the Rebels with a strong game.
Boys Indoor Track: Boys Track failed to earn a win as they lost to Herget foe Wellesley. Senior Captain Mike St. Germain had an excellent meet in the 55 Meter hurdle finishing in a time of 8.20 seconds.
Girls Indoor Track: Girls Track dropped their meet to Wellesley 53-47 in one of the most competitive meets of the year. Junior Allie Morris dominated the two mile finishing with a time of 11:31.
Gymnastics: Gymanstics had one of their best weeks in recent memory by winning both meets against Norwood(125.85 to 123.7) and Brookline(104.2 to 129.4). Freshman Chloe O’hara performed exceptionally well which helped seal the win for the Rebels.
Most Valuable Rebel: This weeks Most Valuable Rebel is senior Captain Adam Quinlan of Boys Basketball. Quinlan has had a monster season to help lead the Rebels to one of their best seasons in recent memory. Quinlan led the Rebels to two wins this week and put up 17 points in their lone loss to New Mission. Congrats Adam!
