The Rebels lost 3-1 to the Wellesley Raiders at home on Monday, May 12. Even though the Rebels were solid both defensively and from the mound, their offense only produced one run. Wellesley made quick work of the Rebels from the mound and earned numerous 1-2-3 innings. Senior James Smith had one of the most significant chances to spark to the Rebel’s offense with a hit deep into center field. Ultimately, he was robbed of a probable home run by a great defensive play in Center Field. “I honestly don’t know how the center fielder caught that. It was pretty deep,” said Smith. The 10-6 Rebels play the Milton Wildcats at Milton today.
