Spirit Week kicks off October 12: a week full of dress-up days, school events, and a pep rally. All week long, there will be themed dress up days in which students are encouraged to participate. Student council spent a lot of time and effort planning the ideas and organizing the events for this week.
After having Monday off, students are expected to return to school on Tuesday in their sleepwear for pajama day. Continuing the fun, Wednesday is jersey day and Thursday is color day. For color day, seniors should wear tie dye, juniors should rock the all black look, sophomores should wear red, and freshmen as always got stuck with the uncommon color: beige. Due to the anticipation of rain and wind, the Friday pep rally has been moved to October 22. In exchange for rebel day, student council quickly planned an impromptu neon/crazy colors day. Be sure to participate and support your school by dressing up for school every day.
On Thursday night, October 4, a hypnotist is coming to WHS and will take student volunteers from the audience to be hypnotized. The show starts at 7pm and is always one of the biggest events at the school each year, so you do not want to miss out. The pep rally next Friday afternoon, October 22, will consist of multiple games, competitions, and plenty of cheering. Each sports team and many clubs will participate in an obstacle course, and many other people will be selected for other activities, such as a balloon toss. This week is a time for all the students to show their school spirit and to encourage all the sports teams to have successful and fun seasons.
