Walpole Boys and Girls Cross Country competed in the Division III Championship Meet at Wrentham Development Center on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015. Although the athletes battled strong winds in the open field, both teams still had several season bests. The boys ended their season with a 7th place finish out of the 26 Division III teams competing in the meet. Although the boys were unable to advance to All States as a team and repeat last year’s success, junior Luke Berardinelli moved on to All-States after finishing in 11th place with a time of 17:01. Similarly, the girls placed 7th out of a total of 23 teams in the race. Likewise, the team did not advanced to All-States, but senior Captain, Alyssa Murphy qualified for All States with a 19:56 and 13th place finish.  At All-States in Westfield on Nov. 21, Berardinelli finished 132nd with a time of 17:10.  Murphy finished 48th with a time of 19:28.
