Walpole High School held its annual National Honors Society Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, May 11. The ceremony began with senior members giving short speeches thanking an educator or mentor who impacted their life. Then, the vice-presidents of National Honors Society, Grace Hoegler and Matt Moriarty, individually introduced each new member from the Junior Class. As each member was inducted, they lit a candle after being greeted by a senior member. “The event was a great celebration of teachers, students, and all academic achievement,” said senior member Mary Healy. “I loved being a part of National Honors Society, not because of the academic validation, but because of the volunteer opportunities that NHS provides.”
