Walpole Girls and Boys Cross Country faced Natick at Walpole High School on Sept. 27. Walpole Girls Cross Country lost and has a current record of 3-5. Walpole Boys Cross Country won the meet and has a current record of 4-4. Sophomore Shane Grant finished first in the the boys race, alongside senior Sean Corriveau in second in the boys race. In the girls race, freshman Mia Costa came in fourth with a new personal record of 16:43. “It was a hot one out there. Some unfortunate circumstances led to a tough loss but we’re going to be back on our feet and be ready for Braintree and Needham next week,” said junior Caroline McGrath. The next meet is Wednesday, Oct. 11 against Milton at Walpole High School.
