Oliver Ames put an end to the Rebels Boys Soccer season on Nov. 9. Going into double overtime, the Rebels came short of a win after being defeated 2-1. With 10 minutes left in the first half, OA scored a goal to pull ahead 1-0. Senior Luccas Ferreira tied the score up with a goal during added injury time at the end of the game. During the first 10 minutes of golden-goal overtime, neither team scored, so the game continued into an additional 10 minute overtime period. After a hard-fought battle, Walpole conceded a goal ending their tournament run. “Our last tournament game was a roller coaster of emotions from OA’s up until the end when we tied the game to send it to overtime with minutes remaining. In the end when OA scored the winning goal in OT the team was devastated, especially the seniors, but this season was one of the best sports experiences I ever had and I’ve never played with a more solid crew,” said senior Mitchell Iodice.
