In the final week of “Celebrity Big Brother,” the final five houseguests—Tamar Braxton, Kandi Burruss, Lolo Jones, Dina Lohan and Ricky Williams—continued to battle for the $250,000 grand prize. The episode before finale night consisted of a season recap, hosted by former “Celebrity Big Brother” houseguest and third-place winner, Mark McGrath.

The celebrity houseguests talked about a variety of topics, including: former houseguests, roommates, politics, fights, drama, jokes, relationships and emotions. Other houseguests,—like Ryan Lochte, Tom Green and Jones—opened up about personal issues that they have faced outside of the house.

After reminiscing, the celebrities started to compete in the next Head of Household (HOH) competition which was hosted by the first-ever “Celebrity Big Brother” winner, Marissa Jaret Winokur. The competition required the houseguests to complete a puzzle while continuously resetting their timers. Williams won and became the next HOH. He nominated Lohan and Burruss.

The next Power of Veto (POV) competition followed shortly after and required the houseguests to steal artifacts from the “Celebrity Big Brother” museum; additionally, the objects related to previous competitions or former houseguests. Jones won the POV with the fastest completion time of 5:08, and she merely beat Williams. Jones decided to not use the POV.

The final nominees were Lohan and Burruss; however, after the votes were cast, it was a tie with a vote of 1-1. Braxton voted to evict Lohan, Jones voted to evict Burruss, and Williams had to break the first tie of the season by evicting Burruss. After the eviction, the final HOH competition began, and all four houseguests were eligible to compete.

Winning the last HOH ensures the houseguest a spot in the final two, along with the power to choose who they will be ultimately competing against in the end. The final competition, entitled “Celebrity Look Alike Junior,” showed videos of children acting as the celebrity houseguests, and they stated two truths and one lie. The houseguests had to identify which statement was false; in the end, Braxton and Williams tied with a score of six, and they had to answer a numerical question. However, Williams won the final HOH with the closest answer—ensuring him a chance at the grand-prize or runner-up.

Williams immediately voted to evict both Lohan and Jones: Braxton and Williams solidified the final two. The jury of nine members (evicted houseguests from this season) followed a routine questioning session, where they were allowed to ask both members of the final-two about their gameplay. After, Braxton and Williams were allowed to deliver short, persuasive speeches about why the jury should vote for them to win. The jury members individually cast their votes, then Julie Chen announces the winner after revealing all of the jury’s votes.

On finale night, three prizes are awarded: the grand-prize, runner-up and America’s Favorite Houseguest, which is determined by America’s votes cast during the final week of the show. America’s Favorite Houseguest wins the $25,000 prize, the runner-up wins the $50,000 prize, and finally, the winner of the game wins the $250,000 grand-prize.

America’s Favorite Houseguest was awarded to Green. Williams received the runner-up prize, as the jury unanimously voted, 9-0, for Braxton to win—making her the second “Celebrity Big Brother” winner. In “Big Brother” history, only one other season has had a unanimous final vote: season 10 crowned its winner, Dan Gheesling, by a vote of 7-0. As for now, “Big Brother” will return for its 21st season in the summer, and “Celebrity Big Brother” will return for its third season next winter.
