Conor Foley

When did you first begin playing this sport?

When I was six.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

Yes.

If yes, are you committed for this sport? To what school?

UMass Lowell.

Who was a prominent coach in your sports career? Why?

Coach Andalo has been a prominent coach throughout my high school career. Coach Lanohan and Deery were also great coaches I had during my youth.

What other activities/clubs are you involved in?

Hockey.

How do you feel going into this season?

Although we graduated a lot of seniors last year, I believe we have a lot of guys that have potential to fill those roles.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season?/How do you plan to achieve these goals?

The goals this year are to have a good regular season and to make a deep run in the playoffs. To do so, we are going to have to put in a lot of work during and outside of practice.

Who are some big opponents?

Needham, Wellesley and Natick. These are all talented teams that are consecutively at the top of the Bay State every year.

Do you think the team will make tournament/post season? How far do you think you’ll make it?

Yes. It’s hard to tell exactly how far we will make it this early on in the season but I am confident we will make a deep playoff run.

First grade.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

Yes.

If yes, are you committed for this sport? To what school?

UMass Boston.

Who was a prominent coach in your sports career? Why?

A prominent coach in my sports career is coach Greener. I admire the success he had over such a long period of time and how he’s able to develop players. Another coach In my career who I respect is my lacrosse coach, coach Andalo. Like coach Greener, he has had so much success over a long period of time. Coach Andalo not only makes us better players, but also better people.

What other activities/clubs are you involved in?

Football and hockey.

How do you feel going into this season?

I’m excited, we have a young team but everyone is hungry to make an impact which is great to see.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season?/How do you plan to achieve these goals?

We obviously want to make the tournament, which is one of our goals every year. We also want to compete for a league title which would be a huge accomplishment.

Who are some big opponents?

Some big games for us are going to be the Natick game and Cohassett game. Natick is always a huge rival of ours and last year was a tight overtime win, so both teams want to come out and compete this year. Cohassett is another huge game for us; they are coming off of a state title last year and returned a lot of guys. They aren’t a team we usually see in the regular season but we’re up for the challenge.

Do you think the team will make tournament/post season? How far do you think you’ll make it?

Yes I do believe we will make the tournament. As to how far we go, I think we can make a deep run but we need to take things one game at a time before we look ahead.
