On May 8, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber released a quarantine-inspired collaboration, along with an accompanying music video. Their duet, “Stuck With U,” was created in hopes to raise the spirits of fans in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. The goal of this charity single is to raise funding for the First Responders Children’s Foundation, an organization devoted to creating scholarships for the children of first responders impacted by the COVID-19 tragedy.

“Stuck With U” preaches the message to make the most of the allotted time in quarantine by making memories with loved ones. “Stuck With U” reassures listeners that despite being stuck at home in a situation that seems far from ideal, that they must stay positive and use this time to appreciate their loved ones and stick together. The heartwarming lyrics, as well as cohesive vocal performances from both Grande and Bieber, make for the perfect uplifting pop song during such a difficult time period. 

Not only did Grande and Bieber provide this feel-good single, but they simultaneously dropped a heart wrenching music video to accompany it. On May 3, both Grande and Bieber along with their shared manager, Scooter Braun, posted on social media platforms urging fans to participate in the making of the video. In Grande’s tweet, she attached the instrumental and asked her fans to “send [them] videos being [their] beautiful selves, dancing with loved ones, pets, whatever or whoever brings [them] comfort during this quarantine.”

The “Stuck With U” video was also released on May 8, filled with home videos of couples, families, pets and more dancing while stuck in quarantine. It was just the kind of feel-good video that everyone needs right now, as it was filled with the happiness of their fans, whether it was seniors dressed for prom or heartwarming tributes to first responders. 

Moreover, the “Stuck With U” video was filled with celebrity cameos, like Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Demi Lovato, Stephen and Ayesha Curry, Chance the Rapper and many more star-studded figures. The video was also filled with footage of Bieber and his wife Hailey as they quarantine together. As for Grande, the video mostly consisted of her spending time with her dogs until the very end where she debuted her new boyfriend, Dalton Gomez.

Overall, the “Stuck With U” single and video provided the perfect uplifting message in the midst of the current pandemic and has successfully made a huge difference through raising charity.
