Jack Walsh

What sport are you a captain of? I am captain of the hockey team.

When did you start playing the sport? I started playing around age 5-6.

Do you want to continue this sport in college? I would play club hockey if the opportunity is there. 

Who was a prominent coach in your sports career? Why? I think my youth coach Chuck Allen was a prominent coach. We understood each other well and he taught me a lot about the game and the discipline of the game. 

What other activities/sports are you involved in? I play baseball and I am a part of the National Honors Society and Investment Club.

How do you feel going into this season? We have the chance to make a run like we did back in my sophomore year. This should be a fun last go around. We are a very close team that has played with one another for the past few years. 

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them? Our main goal is winning. If we play our game we will be just fine. We have to progress throughout the season and get hot at the right time. 

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why? The Bay State games are always tight because they are worth more and you play the teams twice. This year I would like to beat Braintree and Norwood. 

Colin Birch

What sport are you a captain of? I am captain of the boys hockey team.

When did you start playing the sport? I started playing when I was around 4-5 years old.

Do you want to continue this sport in college? Yes, I would play in college.

Who was a prominent coach in your sports career? Why? Coach Dowd was a prominent coach because I have spent the last four years with him as my coach and have learned a lot from him along the way.

What other activities/sports are you involved in? I also play lacrosse.

How do you feel going into this season? I feel good, we definitely have a more experienced team this year so we have big expectations for ourselves.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them? Our goals are to win a state championship and finish what we started two years ago. We have to take it game by game and give ourselves the best chances in the playoffs.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why? Norwood is one of our rivals just because of the history between the two teams and we have not been able to play them since 2020.

Declan Hunter

What sport are you a captain of? I am captain of the hockey team. 

When did you start playing the sport? I started playing pretty much as soon as I started to walk.

Do you want to continue this sport in college? I definitely would like to but I realistically will not.

Who was a prominent coach in your sports career? Why? My dad was my coach until about seventh grade. He taught me basically everything I know about hockey.

What other activities/sports are you involved in? I also play golf and lacrosse.

How do you feel going into this season? I feel very confident because I think this is the best team that I have been part of since entering high school.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them? The state championship is obviously the main goal. Working hard together as a team will give us a good chance as well as beating Norwood.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why? Norwood has always been a rival because they are a big game on our schedule.
