A new Dancing with the Stars season has recently drawn attention to professional dancing. Season 32 has welcomed many new watchers of the show. Dancing with the Stars is a dancing show that premieres on CBS weekly. It consists of duos, one actor and one dancer, joining together to create a dancing team. The team competes in weekly competitions, with eliminations each week hoping to stay til the finals, and win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Specifically, this season has been gaining attention from fanbases on TikTok. Fans have been inspired to create new dance trends inspired by their weekly dance performances. Every episode, these teams show a dance choreographed by the “dancer” on the team. Then the dance is performed for a panel of judges to be scored, determining if they are ranked on the bottom. These dances are also required to have certain themes, such as Disney and Motown.
Most people are expecting contestants Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold to take home the trophy as they seem to be the fan favorites this season. Some dances that have been performed so far are a Viennese Waltz, Contemporary and quicksteps. These dances are to a variety of songs, such as “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran and “Happier than Ever” by Billie Eilish. During week five, the first perfect ten score of the season was earned by Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev. This perfect score was given by judge Carrie Ann Inaba. They danced to “Lose You to Love Me” by Selena Gomez. This duo has been consistently dominating the dance floor, with some of the highest scores seen this season. Charity explained that she had put the hurt and betrayal of past romantic encounters into the dance.
“There is a little bit of pressure… the pressure is only coming from myself, nobody else.” Lawson said to Entertainment News.
Some believe Chigventsev and Lawson will be taking the trophy home this season, while others are routing for Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold. Arnold has been on Dancing With the Stars Juniors previously, and now has taken it to a higher levelThey have made it to week six already, and have consistently been cheered on by the fans of the show. With eliminations each week, the show is making it down to the final few couples. Fans will have to tune in to see who will dance great enough to take home the Lee Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
