1. What other activities are you involved in at school? (clubs/sports)
Boys Basketball, Boys Track, National Honor Society, and Walpole Film Festival.
2. Do you plan on continuing your sport in college?
No.
3. What are some goals set for the team this upcoming season? How do you plan to achieve them?
As always, we’re looking to make a run in the tournament. To do this, the team just has to stay together and work hard every day.
4. What is your pre-game ritual? (Songs, pre-game meals, etc.)
Right before I step onto the field I close my eyes for few seconds to calm myself down.
5. If you could have one faculty member join your team, who would it be and why?
I would like to play with Mr. Connolly since I’ve been told he was a game changer.
6. What advice do you have for underclassmen who play your sport?
Enjoy every second you’re on the field because it goes by so fast.
7. Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?
Coach Connolly was my freshman coach and he taught me how to be a better soccer player as well as a leader.
8. What team do you look forward to playing against this season? Why?
I look forward to playing Bishop Feehan, they’re always a rival of ours and they have a few Walpole guys on their team.
Sean Hazel
1. What other activities are you involved in at school? (clubs/sports)
Card games club.
2. Do you plan on continuing your sport in college?
No.
3. What are some goals set for the team this upcoming season? How do you plan to achieve them?
To make the playoffs a higher seed than last year, communication and working hard.
4. What is your pre-game ritual? (Songs, pre-game meals, etc.)
I listen to “Father stretch my hands pt.2” by Kanye and I put sock then shoe sock then shoe.
5. If you could have one faculty member join your team, who would it be and why?
Mr. Whittenhall because I feel like he would be a killer goalie.
6. What advice do you have for underclassmen who play your sport?
Enjoy it while it lasts, it goes by super fast.
7. Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?
Coach Delaney, I started playing soccer my Freshman year and he was the main reason I am the player I am.
8. What team do you look forward to playing against this season? Why?
Feehan, I know a lot of guys on the team so it will be fun to beat them.
AJ Dayaa
1. What other activities are you involved in at school? (clubs/sports)
None.
2. Do you plan on continuing your sport in college?
Most likely.
3. What are some goals set for the team this upcoming season? How do you plan to achieve them?
[I hope to] make playoffs and make a good run and its achievable since we play some good opponents during the season to get us ready.
4. What is your pre-game ritual? (Songs, pre-game meals, etc.)
I Pray and do the sign of the cross as I touch field.
5. If you could have one faculty member join your team, who would it be and why?
[I would have] Mr. Connolly because hes a great teacher and used to play.
6. What advice do you have for underclassmen who play your sport?
Enjoy every second since it goes by so quick.
7. Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?
My coach a few years ago for club since he taught me things on and off the field that I still use today.
8. What team do you look forward to playing against this season? Why?
Bishop Feehan since I transferred from there my freshman year.
Austin Feener
1. What other activities are you involved in at school? (clubs/sports)
[I’m apart of] Winter Track and Field, Spring Track and Field, and National Honor Society.
2. Do you plan on continuing your sport in college?
No.
3. What are some goals set for the team this upcoming season? How do you plan to achieve them?
Our main goal is to secure a home game in the first round of playoffs and overall improve as a team. We’re working toward this by building up some of the younger guys and getting everyone used to playing at a high level, and practicing finishing.
4. What is your pre-game ritual? (Songs, pre-game meals, etc.)
I go to sleep early the night before, and I try to get home before the game to eat some chicken and pasta, and usually on the drive to the game I have a music playlist I listen to.
5. If you could have one faculty member join your team, who would it be and why?
Mr. Connolly, he’s a former WHS player and just a good guy.
6. What advice do you have for underclassmen who play your sport?
Run track in the off season.
7. Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?
My dad, he coached me in youth soccer before high school, and he’s the person who got me introduced to soccer in the first place. Up until high school, everything I knew about soccer came from him.
8. What team do you look forward to playing against this season? Why?
Bishop Feehan, because I know a few guys on the team and it should be a good experience for both teams.
