A while now. I’d probably say close to 10 years.
Do you plan on continuing your sport in college?
It depends on a lot of things, but I’d definitely like to keep swimming somewhere.
How do you feel going into the season/what are your goals for the upcoming season?
I feel great going into this season. My goal is to end the season with as many school records as I can get and to finally win a state title.
Who is a prominent coach in your career? Why?
My current coach, Cheryl Cavanaugh, has been my coach since I moved to Walpole. With her coaching, I’ve been able to improve myself in and out of the pool.
What are some pre-game rituals you have? (songs, pre-game meals, traditions)
As a team, we normally have pasta dinners the night before a meet. On meet day, we listen to a playlist made by all of us with songs by people like Nicki Minaj and Ken Carson.
What advice would you give an underclassman competing in your sport?
Even if you suck at first, keep on training hard. It’s hard to get used to the practices, but once you do, that’s when you start to get better.
If you could have one faculty member join your team, who would it be and why?
Out of all of the faculty members, I would want Mr. Ferraro to join the team. He is one of our coaches and swam in college, so he would be a great addition to the team.
Which team are you most excited to compete against this season? Why?
I’m most excited to compete against Milton, because there are a couple of guys on that team who always provide me with a nice challenge.
