Volcano Bay, Island of Adventure and Universal studios are the three current parks making up Universal. An additional park is being added to Universal in May of 2025. It will be called Epic Universe. This park includes one hotel along five new subparks within. With portals into the worlds of the Ministry of Magic, Dark Universe, Celestial Park, Super Nintendo world, and Isle of Berk. Each island has a specific design that makes you feel like you have been transported into a new world.
One of the new lands is the Ministry of Magic, meant to transport you into the wizarding world of “Harry Potter”. After leaving the portal you are whisked into the land of 1920’s Paris, based on the time of Newt Scamander in “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. In the streets of Paris you will be able to stop at Café L’air De La Sirène for the taste of French food, take a break and watch a show at Tent of Le Cirque Arcanus and shop for Paris’s finest wands at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique. Once you’ve combed through the streets of Paris you can take a ride down to the British Ministry of Magic in the world of “Harry Potter”. Once in the Ministry you can explore or join Harry, Ron and Hermione in the new ride Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry.
The next park is dedicated to Henry Frankenstein’s great great granddaughter, Victoria Frankenstein. The park is called Dark Universe, where the creators of Universal bring the old monsters in the classic movies like Frankenstien, Dracula and Werewolves back to life while working to combine scarier rides along with kid friendly ones throughout the park. Addition to the fun rides, restaurants and experiences such as Face the Rage of Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, Curse of the Werewolf, Meeting Monsters in the Streets, Das Stakehaus and The Burning Blade Tavern are also available to shop at.
Celestial Park will house Universal’s Helios Grand Hotel. Each park includes one hotel where park visitors can stay and enjoy while they explore Universal’s parks. The park includes many fun themed restaurants like the The Atlantic which serves mainly seafood. You will also be able to dine at The Blue Dragon Pan, here they serve Asian cuisines. Like the other parks throughout Universal, this park will be filled with fun rides matching the theme integrated throughout the park, like Stardust Racers and Constellation Carousel.
Super Nintendo World, heavily inspired by the park in Japan, is entering Universal’s Epic Universe. The creators of this park hoped to combine people’s strong love for video games with this fun theme park. Unlike the other four new parks, this park will be split into two halves. The first half will include Super Mario land while the other half will feature Donkey Kong Country. Both halves of this world have incredible rides such as Mario Kart:Bowser’s Challenge, Mine-Cart Madness and Yoshi’s Adventure.
The fifth world is based on the award winning movie franchise, “How to Train Your Dragon” with our favorite characters, Hiccup and Toothless. The park is for all ages and includes many attractions like Hiccup’s Wing Gliders for those who would like to ride a dragon around Berk, Dragon Racer’s Rally, Fyre Drill, Viking Training Camp for the kids, Mead Hall and a live show called the Untameable Dragon.
Epic Universe’s five parks will send visitors into new worlds allowing people to explore outside of the current parks, expanding their vacations.
