The Best Buddies club focuses on promoting inclusion and friendship throughout the school community.
Kerry Donlan and student officers, help plan meetings and events as well as guide students to spread kindness and encourage friendship. “I hope that Best Buddies promotes friendship and I hope that we make a difference in the Walpole High School community.”
There are no requirements in order to join Best Buddies and they welcome all students and faculty. Some of their meetings include a Halloween party, Friendsgiving, and Christmas cookie decorating. The club meets on the first Monday of every month where they discuss fundraising and different ways to promote the club to other students.
“We try to do fun things that accommodate everyone and make sure people are enjoying themselves,” Donlan said.
The main focus of the club is to help students integrate through school-related activities and to bring compassion, generosity and consideration to the WHS community. If you are interested in joining Best Buddies, you can attend a monthly meeting or email Donlan with any questions.
