For the people of Foxboro, Walpole & Norfolk who live near the proposed casino site, the casino would be an absolute nightmare. Crime, drunk driving, decreased property values & traffic are only the beginning of the problems, which cannot be rationalized by “more jobs”. Many people are also morally opposed to gambling. PLEASE sign & ask everyone you know to sign the following petition, which sends a polite message to Mr. Kraft to reconsider his quest for the casino. http://www.change.org/petitions/mr-kraft-please-do-the-right-thing
You can also ask people to get on the Change.org website & use KRAFT DO THE RIGHT THING as the name of the petition, in order to pull it up. Also, please share this to your Facebook page, tweet it, post the link on local blogs.

Great article! South Walpole (& soon the whole town & nearby towns) will suffer the negative effects of BOTH the casino & the commuter rail expansion through South Walpole to Gillette Stadium (which will facilitate mass numbers of people to the casino). South Walpole seems to be at the mercy of however Foxboro decides to handle this.

Walpole neighborhoods will be affected more than any residence in Foxboro while tax money needed to care for new crime will only go to Foxboro as of now. Great point on the DUI!
