Before the seventeenth season finale of “The Bachelor,” the always dramatic ABC reality show aired the “Women Tell All” episode on Monday, March 4th to intensify the anticipation and add to the drama coming up within the next week. As always, the catty confrontations and inevitable tears were in full effect. Despite the drama, the night started off quite lame, as clips of host Chris Harrison and Bachelor Sean Lowe crashing random “Bachelor” viewing parties all around Los Angeles were aired. Harrison and Lowe even went as far as surprising a sorority at UCLA, making “Bachelor Nation” more jealous than entertained.
The evening continued as the returning women discussed their time on the show—the majority of which was spent engaging in drama with Tierra, who was backstage. While some of the women stayed quiet, others lashed out during this time and used it to bash Tierra’s infamous personality. Leslie M. pointed out that Tierra’s “sparkle really wasn’t that big,” which earned her kudos from the studio audience. Soon, Tierra herself joined Chris in the hot seat while sporting a darker hair color… and a dazzling engagement ring. The ring confused everyone, inspiring both jealous and incredulous glares. While her trademark eyebrow trended on Twitter, season seventeen’s drama-seeking queen made her usual plea of innocence to all the women. She stated that she did not come there to make friends, but denied assertively the claims thats she said or did anything mean to them. Her eventual less-than-sincere apology to the women ended her interview on a sour note.
Another woman who made a big impact this season was welcomed to talk to Chris Harrison in the hot seat: Sarah. The beloved contestant born with only one arm devastated viewers with her heartbreaking goodbye on the show, but she left the audience at the “Women Tell All” with confidence and hope that she would find her own man. Next, Desiree was called upon to talk about “the worst hometown date in Bachelor history.” The host was referring to the incident in which her seemingly overprotective brother called Sean “a playboy.” Later, the fan favorite cheerfully wished Sean the best. AshLee was the final woman of the night to have her chance in the hot seat. She revealed that the reason behind her silent goodbye was that she had simply been blindsighted by it all. Admitting that she no longer loved this season’s bachelor, the adopted Houston girl also admitted that she was not impressed by his two-faced personality. AshLee thought that Sean acted like a frat boy with the remaining two girls instead of the Southern gentleman that he had always been with her.
It was finally time for the man of the hour to take his turn in the hot seat. Sean was greeted by the audience with high-pitched screams galore. At first, he joined AshLee so that he could talk about his decision to let her go during the week spent in Thailand. The tension was inescapable throughout the conversation, and AshLee made it worse when she suddenly blurted out that in Thailand, Sean told her that he, “not having any feelings” for the two girls, left. Sean repeatedly denied it, and AshLee continued to accuse him. This heated battle went on for what seemed like an hour.
The two-hour special ended with Sean expressing his excitement for the final week of his Bachelor experience. As always, a blooper montage highlighting the season’s funniest moments was played as well. Finally, clips of Sean with his final two ladies, Lindsay and Catherine, were revealed as a preview for the finale on Monday, March 11th.
