Last year’s adventure game is known by the name of Temple Run.
It’s impossible for one not to remember the addicting adventure game that incorporates jewels, scary monkeys, and a character fleeing from a temple.Well, now there’s Temple Run 2.  It’s the same thing, but more intricate, and harder.  It’s all the suspense from something like a roller coaster in the palm of your hand.  This second version will have one sitting down to play the game before bed, and look up from the game to notice the sun has risen. Yes, that’s how good it is.

So, there was Words with Friends and Hanging with Friends last year, but now there’s a new word game that everyone can obsess about.  It involves friends, and words, but it goes by the name of Ruzzle.  With a screen of shuffled letters, the 2 minute timer is on the clock.  Who can create the most words in the shortest amount of time?  With three rounds per game and a whole lot of games, challenge your best friend and any one of 35 million people who have the Ruzzle app.

Every artist knows how to draw a picture.  Not every artist knows there’s a chance to draw a picture on the iPhone, called Draw Something.  There’s a similar game with pictures, but it’s more like Pictionary, and whether or not you’re an artist does not matter.  It’s about thinking and it’s called “4 Pics 1 word.” The game gives you four pictures and  it is the player’s job to figure out what word, with however many letters given, that matches all four pictures.  For example, the word “MATCH” could include 2 wooden sticks creating a fire, 2 opponents on a Tennis court, a Wrestling arena, and a game show to create a perfect couple.  All of these pictures are hints for the correct word, MATCH.  Download this game, with no timer and constant thinking.  The best part? Wifi isn’t necessary.

Before Vine, there was an app called Cinemagram.  Cinemagram is just like Vine; one can create looping videos, but rather than having a full six seconds for a gif, one is only allowed to choose four seconds of a twelve second video they have recorded.  Cinemagram does have filters to choose from, but it doesn’t include sound, which is actually the best part of Vine.  It’s no surprise Vine is more successful, being owned by Twitter.  Also, in order to view a “Cine,” one has to own an account.  With Vine, if a video link is posted on to twitter, anyone is allowed to view it.  Cinemagram was never really popular, but now Vine is taking over, and it’s not going anywhere.

The hottest app of last year was Twitter.  This year? It remains the same, but growing.  Apps like tumblr, facebook, and instagram are up there on the popularity charts, but Twitter simply has it all.  Without a Twitter, one simply has no idea what they’re missing.

Tweet after tweet, image after image, new followers, retweets, and favorites day after day, this app is not just an app, for it is a social network that has been popularly used since 2010.  Update after update, it is only getting better.
