Everyone knows the popular reality TV show Jersey Shore. Drinking, partying, and sex — these are just some of the usual activities for the cast of Jersey Shore. Most of the world knows the most popular cast member: Nicole Polizzi, better known as Snooki. On the Jersey Shore, Snooki was known as the very short, Italian girl who loved to party and have a good time. However, her wild lifestyle came to an abrupt stop after the show’s finale when she became pregnant. However, this pregnancy did not end her career as a reality star. Instead, Snooki has changed from a reckless, party-going Jersey stereotype (who at one point got punched in the face by a guy) into an expectant mother attempting to be a mature adult. To help her through the pregnancy and to add to the reality show billing, Snooki moved in with her best friend, Jenni Farley, also known as JWOWW. Their new show “Snooki and JWOWW” airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm on MTV. The first season of the show broadcasts Nicole throughout her pregnancy and Jenny helping pregnant Snooki; the show is now on its second season, and it kicks off with Snooki delivering her baby. Season two is packed with a lot of unexpected drama, love and humor. “Snooki and JWOWW” shows the viewers what Nicole and Jenny have become since “Jersey Shore.”
The first few episodes in season two show Nicole and her fiance Jionni preparing to have their first kid together. They are not your typical expecting parents, as they have no clue how to even raise a child. Leading up to the birth of their baby, Nicole and Jionni attend multiple parenting classes and shop for baby supplies. These expecting parents are clueless about caring for children. At one point, Jionni even asks the doctor if he can gel his baby’s hair. Nicole’s pregnancy enables her and Jionni to work together, therefore bringing them closer together and it helping strengthen their relationship. While Nicole and Jionni prepare for their child’s arrival, Jenni tries to persuade her boyfriend Roger to ask her to marry him, but it is not that simple for Roger. As the season progresses, Roger thinks of different ways to propose to Jenni.
As the due date for Nicole’s baby approaches, her mother and Jenni decide to throw Nicole an elegant baby shower. A couple of days after the baby shower, Nicole is almost ready to pop. Jionni drives her to the hospital and baby Lorenzo arrives hours later. Right after Lorenzo is born, Nicole and Jionni’s families arrive to meet the new baby. Also, Jenny and Roger come to the hospital to meet their new godchild. After meeting Lorenzo, Jenni and Roger head to Maine to spend time with Roger’s family. In Maine they go on lobster boats, they go fishing and they go clamming. This is the opposite of what Jenni wants to do, because she is not an outdoorsy girl, but Jenni is willing to do anything because she believes that Roger will propose to her this weekend. After the romantic weekend in Maine is over, Roger finally realizes that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Jenni.
For Nicole, parenting is a very hard task; however, the new parents believe that caring for a child comes naturally. Staying up all night, feeding nonstop, and changing diapers are just a few of the things Nicole and Jionni face months after baby Lorenzo is born. Even though parenting is extremely hard to do, Nicole and Jionni love it. They love Lorenzo and their now complete family. This is the first time Nicole has actually taken care of something in her life. Also, as the season finale of the show creeps up, Roger decides to take Jenni skydiving. After risking their lives and jumping out of a plane, Roger finally asks Jenni to marry him and she agrees. It seems like everything is coming together for Snooki and JWOWW.
“Snooki and JWOWW” is a great show filled with a lot of love and humor. The show really proves to the public that Nicole and Jenni are responsible adults. They are no longer people that stay up all night partying. Now, Snooki has a family and Jenni is happily engaged. They have each figured out how to care about other people besides themselves. Nicole and Jenni have become better people as a whole since “Jersey Shore,” which was shown in season two of “Snooki and JWOWW.”
