Boys Tennis Wins First Playoff Match

In the first round of the South Division II Boys Tennis Tournament, #15 seeded Walpole Boys Tennis defeated #18 seeded Apponequet 5-0.  Juniors Dimos Kataros and Andrew Drogan won their match by winning their first two sets, 6-0 and 6-2.  At the start of the season, the team’s main goal was to reach the postseason for the 11th straight season.  Now having achieved that goal and having even won their first round matchup, Walpole Boys Tennis will play the underdogs in their next round matchup against #2 seeded Plymouth North, who had a bye in the first round.  Their second round tournament game will be at 4pm on Saturday, May 31,at Plymouth North High School.
