Madison Field Commits to Assumption College
After playing lacrosse since third grade, Madison Field made the decision to continue her athletic and academic career at Assumption College to play Division II lacrosse. Through playing lacrosse for many club programs and for the town, Field has worked towards this goal for many years.
“I have played for Outlaws and have been playing for Laxachusetts for five years now,” Field said.
Although Field is moving on to the new chapter in her lacrosse career, she still has one last season with Walpole High School’s girls lacrosse team as a senior captain.
“My favorite thing about playing in Walpole is how close the team is,” Field said. “I am excited for this season to get this team back together.”
Field credits her dad for a lot of the support she received through the years of playing lacrosse and the long process of finding the right school to continue her journey.
“He sacrificed so much time to drive me across the country to tournaments and showcases,” Field said. “He has made a great impact in my recruiting process which helped lead me to find the school I love.”
Through the support she got and the hard work she put in over the years, Field was able to choose the school Assumption College which fit everything she was looking for in a school.
“I always wanted a school that has a lot of school spirit and a tight knit atmosphere,” Field said. “I also wanted to be close to home so my parents could come to all my games and support me.”
With the continued support from her family, Field also has the benefit of sharing this experience with one of her teammates.
“I will also be playing with my best friend, Molly Weiand,” Field said. “It will be a whole new experience for me and I am nervous but also excited.”
