When did you start playing the sport?

I started my sophomore year.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

I am not currently looking to run in college as it is a time consuming process and I want to focus on my education.

Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?

Coach Corey Coogan. Coach Coogan is the person who got me involved in the track and XC programs and saw my potential to be a great runner instantly. Without Coach Coogan, I may have never started running winter track or cross country, and I couldn’t have gotten to where I am today in either sport.

What other activities/sports are you involved in?

Mainly track and field, where I am the captain of mid-distance for both the winter and spring seasons.

How do you feel going into this season?

I am happy to be experiencing normality again in sports after last season and I feel confident in the talent of our team. With strong leadership and hard work, we have the potential to see great success this season.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them?

The team wants to take a shot at winning our division and advancing to all-states this year. With the new league formatting, this task has been made more realistic, and with hard work day in and day out, the boys can perform at a level sufficient enough to achieve it.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why?

The sport of cross country usually doesn’t lead to the formation of many rivals as both teams mutually respect each other; however, Milton has always been an opponent that has been evenly matched with us and beat our varsity team causing us to place second at the divisional meet 2 years ago. Last year, they beat us both times we faced them; however, if we face them this year, I have confidence it will be a different story.

When did you start playing the sport?

I started my sophomore year.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

Possibly, I am still unsure.

Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?

Coach Ganhsirt was a good coach because he is always inspiring me to get better as well as being very friendly and nice to all of the members of the team.

What other activities/sports are you involved in?

I also run indoor and outdoor track and am involved in the community service club.

How do you feel going into this season?

I feel confident in our coaches as well as our teammates to help each other out and have a successful season.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them?

I have set the goals for us to win the Bay State Conference this year and for all of us to improve the best we can to get new PRs.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why?

Weymouth is always a challenging opponent for us, but I think we can take them this year.
