Episode 9 of ABC’s “The Bachelor” aired February 25, and after Andi’s departure, foes Nikki and Clare remain in the battle for Juan Pablo’s heart. The two ladies are extremely different from each other, so the bachelor’s decision will reveal a lot about his character. The suspenseful season finale will have emotions run high, but the end result is not final.
There are several possible outcomes for the episode. Here are the top three:
1. Juan Pablo proposes to Nikki. If the bachelor feels like Nikki is wife material, he may pop the question. Nikki has shown commitment to their relationship, and she seemed to get along well with Camila when they met. However, she may not have a place in Juan Pablo’s family. From previous episodes, it has become clear that Nikki doesn’t like very many people, and not many people like Nikki. She revealed only her sweet, upbeat side to Juan Pablo, but viewers know about her negativity and cattiness. Even if Juan Pablo asks Nikki to spend the rest of her life with him, their relationship is unlikely to survive after they spend more time together and Juan Pablo watches the footage from the season.
2. Juan Pablo proposes to Clare. This is the most improbable option of the three. Although Juan Pablo has made it clear that he is very physically attracted to Clare, their relationship isn’t very strong on an emotional level. As previously mentioned, Nikki has met Camila; however, Clare has not. She also doesn’t have the same experience with kids as Nikki does. Most of Clare and Juan Pablo’s heart to hearts revolve around her father, who was obviously a huge part of her life, but they don’t have much to talk about other than that. Juan Pablo and Clare don’t have a relationship that could last after the show, and for that reason it is highly unlikely that he will propose to her.
3. Juan Pablo won’t propose to either girl. It is very likely that the bachelor will pick Nikki over Clare, but he won’t necessarily get down on one knee. Juan Pablo could possibly be unsuccessful in his search for love. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a very strong relationship with either of the girls. Additionally, both remaining ladies have shown less than desirable qualities to the audience. Even if he feels that one of the girls is wife material, Juan Pablo is still a dad and a rushed proposal would be very irresponsible.
The season finale of “The Bachelor” airs March 10 at 8pm on ABC. Juan Pablo will have to make a difficult decision between two very different girls, and either he will walk away from the show with a wife, or neither Nikki nor Clare will end up with a ring on her finger.
