Trader Joe’s, arguably, has the best products around fall time. They offer a plethora of pumpkin spice and warm flavors within their products that are essential for the fall season. I went to Trader Joe’s to buy some of their fall items to give a review on which ones are actually worth it this season.
Spiced Cider: I think apple cider is widely enjoyed by most people on a chilly autumn day. It is honestly the ultimate fall beverage. The one way I can explain the TJ’s apple cider is very spicy. It does not hit you at first but the aftertaste has a strong nutmeg and cinnamon flavor. While it is not bad, it definitely isn’t my favorite because it really doesn’t have that homemade authentic taste to it.
Pumpkin Overnight Oats: I think overnight oats are one of the easiest breakfasts when you are on the go and need something quick but filling. Being able to buy pre-made containers of overnight oats makes it even easier. TJ’s offers other flavors but the pumpkin flavor is just around for the fall seasons. I really enjoyed these, they had a great pumpkin flavor that wasn’t too overpowering but wasn’t subtle either. It was a perfect portion and a great option when you’re on the go- I definitely recommend it.
Pumpkin Loaf: My family and I are very picky when it comes to pumpkin loaves. I feel like, regardless of whether you make it yourself or buy it, it is either too dry or way too moist. However, I think the TJ’s pumpkin bread is a perfect in between of the two textures. It has a great pumpkin flavor and is a perfect breakfast or snack option. I think that pumpkin bread is really easy to make so personally it wouldn’t be something I would purchase often, but for a lot of people this is a great option!
Pumpkin Spice JoJo’s: TJ’s is notable for their own version of Oreo’s called “JoJo’s.” The fall flavor of these cookies contains a pumpkin graham cracker cookie filled with a thick layer of pumpkin frosting and covered in a pumpkin yogurt with sea salt sprinkled on top. At first, I thought this would be way too much pumpkin flavor because every aspect of the cookie is somehow pumpkin flavored. However, these were by far one of the best items I tried. It is not overpowering with the pumpkin flavor or the level of sweetness as the sea salt does a great job cutting the sugary flavor. I can confidently say these are 100% worth the purchase.
Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese: If you’ve been on TikTok this past fall season I am sure you are aware about the Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese hype. People sell out these frozen packages of mac and cheese because they are that good. I remember being influenced last year and decided to try it out after all of the positive reviews. I didn’t think I’d like it because I really dislike squash but I gave in and tried it anyway. This product has to be the best fall TJ’s item there is. The flavor of the squash is not too overpowering at all and it is a perfect mash of the squash flavor with the mac and cheese. It even has sprigs of rosemary in it, really making it taste like the fall season. This is so easy and quick to make and should be a staple frozen meal in everyone’s homes. I decided to review it again this year just to write about how good it really is. If you take anything out of this review, it should be to buy this item.
Trader Joe’s really upped their game this year with the amount of options they offer and how great each one of them is. Definitely stock up on all the fall items this year at TJ’s and enjoy this season!
