What activities do you do other than your sport?
“Outside of running, I primarily spend time with friends, whether it is getting food or other activities.”
How long have you been running and what got you into it?
“I have been running since 2023, during my freshman winter season. I got into running initially to stay in shape for soccer and lacrosse.”
How have your coaches impacted you?
“My coaches have impacted me by forging me into a stronger person outside of track. They have helped build up my confidence and offer guidance about everyday problems. Their constant support has allowed me to grow and thrive in every aspect of my life.”
Do you plan to continue running in college and in what capacity?
“Yes, I am hoping to pursue a collegiate running career. I have not decided where I would like to go yet, but I will hopefully know in the upcoming months!”
What is your proudest achievement on the team?
“My proudest achievement is being a part of a three peat championship my sophomore year. I was able to be a major contributor in three divisional championships between cross country, indoor track and outdoor track.”
What are your goals for the season?
“I would like to win the divisional meet as an individual and as a team.”
What was your favorite moment in your running career?
“My favorite moment was winning the 2025 outdoor divisional championship. We were extreme underdogs entering the meet, and only had 13 athletes competing. Completing this win was the most fulfilling.”
What advice would you give to anyone considering joining the sport?
“You don’t have to be fast, you don’t have to be athletic, you just have to be consistent. If you are consistent, then you can become great at anything.”

What activities do you do other than your sport?
“I play trumpet in the school band as well as the after school jazz band.
I volunteer as a puppy sitter at Golden Opportunities for Independence (GOFIDOG)”
How long have you been running and what got you into it?
“I’ve been running for about five and a half years. I started running during Covid, because all the other sports I did were getting cancelled, but I needed some way to stay in shape.”
How have your coaches impacted you?
“Timothy Giblin has done a lot of great things for me as both a coach and a teacher, his inspirational speeches are unmatched, and, even though it was difficult, I give him a lot of credit for the success on the AP exam. He really is a great coach as well, he cares a lot for the team, as shown by his large spreadsheets.
Chris Tringali is a great guy, and every run is improved by him going with us. We all love talking to him.
I find Patick Ryan to be very funny, and he inspired me to pursue physics after freshman year
Finally, I think Corey Coogan is a great addition to the coaching staff, from track I know he’s a very good head coach who almost rivals Giblin’s speeches, both in length and quality.”
Do you plan to continue running in college and in what capacity?
“I would definitely like to run in college, so I will be trying out for the running team of any school I go to, but even if I am unable to run for the college team I will continue running on my own or with a running group.”
What is your proudest achievement on the team?
“I think the best thing I’ve personally been a part of for cross country was the JV Ocean State team. It was a great group of guys to run with, and getting that plaque and all those medals with them was great.”
What are your goals for the season?
“The primary goal for the team this year is to win divisionals, but it will be decent season as long as we make it there. Also, we want to win the Herget as well”
What was your favorite moment in your running career?
“Watching the team run at divisionals has been awesome every year. Two years ago was a very fun meet to watch, because we won, but I really enjoyed watching the team run last year. Running back and forth to cheer the boys on is a great experience.”
What advice would you give to anyone considering joining the sport?
“My advice to anyone thinking of doing distance running is to a) just try it out and b) give it some time. Running is great, because there is a very low bar to enter, so if you are at all thinking it is something you might want to do, there’s no reason to not just go for it. Along with that is if you are going to try out running, stick with it for at least two or three weeks, because in the beginning, everyday you stay consistent to running it gets easier, so if you don’t feel great after the first day, I would encourage you to keep going.”
