Season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, premiered Nov. 13 and has become one of the most dramatic seasons so far. This third season stands out from the previous. It focuses on personal conflicts, mental struggles and what goes on behind the scenes of social media. The show follows seven Mormon couples who have founded a shared community on social media called “Momtok,” where they display their lives including motherhood, daily life and marriage.
In Season 3, unlike in the earlier seasons, which were more focused on friendships, there is a shift where viewers look more into the private lives of the moms. Many changes are evident, including former members of “Momtok,” Whitney Leavitt and Demi Engemann who are no longer connected to the group. Once they left, fans noticed a change in the group’s dynamic and how Leavitt and Engemann played a crucial role in the conflicts throughout the season.
The first major storyline of Season 3 begins in the first episode, when allegations involving Marciano Brunette, a member of another reality hit Vanderpump Villa and Jessi Draper, a member of Momotk. Brunette claimed they were having an affair, which if revealed to be true, could destroy Draper’s marriage with Jordan Ngatikaura, Draper’s second husband. This sent shockwaves throughout “Momtok,” which required Mikayla Matthews and Mayci Neeley to find the answers. Matthews and Neeley’s investigation plays a big role in this season as they try to find out the facts from these rumors. It was revealed Engerman played a part in convincing Brunette to come up with the affair story.
Beyond the affair, Season 3 has people questioning who their friends truly are. With several people leaking information and secrets to the public the group begins to crumble. When members of “Momtok” started to accuse each other it comes out that the problems are deep rooted resentments. At the same time, this season shows more of Matthews and her journey. Matthews confesses she has issues that she can relate back to her own trauma, she shares how these have created an emotional gap between her and her husband, Jace Terry. This offers viewers a vulnerable perspective on their favorite influencers lives. This storyline shows the contrast between the lives of them on social media compared to the lives the moms experience from day to day.
Season 3 presents a more revealing and personal depiction of the influencers. Revealing the hidden pressures of being married with kids while also balancing social media and still being successful in life. Instead of this season being about viral moments and things that have spread across social media, they reveal the consequences of the public eye and how it can damage your image with a misstep. During the finale, many castmates try to fix their relationships with each other, while simultaneously trying to manage their life in public. This leaves viewers wanting more and being able to get it as The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been renewed for a fourth season and is scheduled to be released in early 2026.
