Boys Hockey: With high hopes for Boys Hockey to claim a spot in the state tournament, Boys Hockey came into the week very confident. However, they could not do this as they struggled against Weymouth and Framingham losing 4-2 and 6-3. Despite the losses their was a bright spot as junior Tommy McNamara came back from injury to score a goal.
Girls Hockey: On Wednesday Night, Girls Hockey lost to Weymouth 2-1. Senior Captain Michaela Tosone however had a solid night as she scored their only goal. On Saturday Night, they however responded as they beat a tough Framingham team 4-0 as they battle for first place in the Herget.
Boys Basketball: Boys Basketball went .500 this week as they lost to Natick 71-66 and beat Weymouth 64-58. Junior Ryan Fogarty had a great performance in the win as he helped spark the offense.
Girls Basketball: Girls Basketball had a strong week as they beat Natick 60-54 and beat Weymouth 51-38. Senior Captain Lauren Bodin had a great performance as she helped lead her team to two wins.
Boys Indoor Track: Boys Track beat Natick on Thursday Night as they hope to climb back to .500. Also, on Saturday Boys Track had an Invitational as they saw some great performances. Senior Connor McCarthy broke a school record in the 55m hurdle with a time of 7.66 as he placed first in the whole race. Also, senior PJ Hayes had a great race in the 55m with a time 0f 6.46, the fastest time in the state.
Girls Indoor Track: Girls Track couldn’t keep its strong start going as they lost to a good Natick team on Thursday Night. Despite the loss, junior Captain Gina Conti had an excellent performance.
Wrestling: Wrestling won against a much weaker Brookline team on Thursday night. The team had a great overall effort as nearly everyone beat their opponent. Also, on Saturday Wrestling won against Newton North but lost Milton and Needham. Wrestling had a tough time getting the victory as they were dealing with injuries and sickness which caused many forfeits.
Most Valuable Rebel: This weeks Most Valuable Rebel is senior Connor McCarthy of Boys Track. McCarthy had a phenomenaul week as he broke the school record in the 55meter hurdles with a time of 7.64. To go with this he came in first place in this event. Keep up the work Connor!
