Boys Hockey: Boys Hockey finally broke the barrier as they won against Wellselley 4-2 to clinch a spot in the tournament for the first time in recent memory. Seniors John White and Matt Bender along with juniors Pat Baker and Tommy McNamara all contributed goals in the win. On Saturday night, Boys Hockey tied Milton 2-2 as they failed to close the game as they lost the lead as they let in a goal with under 2 minutes left.
Girls Hockey: Girls Hockey once again struggled as they lost to 3rd ranked Wellselley 4-2. The crucial point in the game was when junior Captain Brooke Matherson got a game misconduct on a questionable call that seemed to haunt the Rebels the entire night.
Boys Basketball: Boys Basketball had a phenomenal week as they went 2-0 to improve their record to 8-6. On Tuesday night they beat Framingham 66-61 and on Friday night they beat Wellesley 55-50. Junior Adam Quinlan had an excellent performance in both these games as he helped lead his team.
Girls Basketball: Girls Basketball lost to a tough Wellesley team 42-38, snapping their 2 game win streak. Despite the loss, senior Captain Lauren Bodin had an excellent performance.
Boys Indoor Track: Boys Track lost their last meet of the season as they lost to Framingham on Wednesday night. Senior Captain Connor McCarthy however continued to flourish as he came in 3rd in the 55 meter dash with a time of 6.85.
Girls Indoor Track: Girls Track lost to Needham on Wednesday night to put their record at 3-3. However, junior Captain Gina Conti came in 3rd in the 1000 meter with a time of 3:08.
Wrestling: Wrestling lost a close one on Thursday night to Wellselley 37-27. Despite the loss junior Kyle Robbins had an impressive match as he beat his opponent. Also, on Saturday afternoon Wrestling went 2-1 in their quad meet as they beat Duxbury and Sharon and lost to Reading. Robbins was once again impressive as he went 3-0 on the day.
Most Valuable Rebel: The Most Valuable Rebel of the week is sophomore Joe Delaney. Delaney, a first year varsity wrestler, went 3-0 this weekend at the teams quad meet. Delaney wrestled fantastically, dominating his opponents and wrestling with a great sense of urgency. Congrats to Joe!
Unsung Team of the Week: The Unsung Team of the Week is Wrestling as they went 2-1 in their quad meet despite many of their starters being sick and injured. With so many forfeits and still finding a way to go 2-1 against very good teams are a testament to how hard the Wrestling team works.
