Baseball: Over April break, the Baseball team got off to a great start, winning both of their games on Wednesday, April 17, and Friday, April 19, against Brookline and Mansfield respectively. The Rebels defeated Brookline 3-1 with an expected grand performance from senior Mike Gaughan. Mansfield would be put to rest, the game ending with a score of 6-2. Junior lefty, James “Jimmy” Smith started for the Rebels and played well.
Boy’s Lacrosse: Boy’s Lacrosse played against Scituate, St. John’s Prep and Lexington over break. The boy’s won two out of three games. The scores were 12-10, 15-5 and 8-6 respectively.
Girl’s Lacrosse: The Girl’s Lacrosse Team played twice, once on Monday, April 15, against Oliver Aimes, defeating them 19-3 and then on Saturday, April 20, beating them 21-9. Both games the team played extremely well, with the games being described as, “Blowouts”, by junior Michele Lucas.
Boy’s Track: On Wednesday, April 17, boy’s track competed against Newton North. The Rebels lost the meet to the competition.
Girl’s Track: On Wednesday, April 17, girl’s track competed against Newton North. Even with outstanding performances from senior Maddy Shea in the long jump, and a phenomenal discus toss by senior Michelle Monahan, the Rebels lost the meet.
Most Valuable Rebel: The April break Most Valuable Rebel is junior baseball player, James “Jimmy the Lefty” Smith after an outstanding performance in his start against Mansfield.
