Baseball: On Monday afternoon, Baseball continued its hot streak, dominating Needham 13-0. Senior Tom Farrow pitched 6 scoreless innings to get the win. Once again on Wednesday, the Rebels continued their hot streak as they beat Natick 13-3 to force a slaughter rule in the 7th inning. Senior ace Mike Gaughan pitched a great game only allowing 2 runs in 6 innings. To add to their domination, Baseball got their third straight win via slaughter rule against Weymouth as they won 13-1 on Friday night.
Softball: Softball had a strong week as they beat both Needham and Natick 1-0 to improve their record to 6-4. Junior Steph Sem and senior Marissa Ryan both pitched great games as they shutout both teams. Also, senior Captain Lauren Bodin and junior Lauren Regan both had great games at the plate. On Friday afternoon, Softball lost 6-5 to Weymouth to end the week with a 2-1 record.
Girls Track: Girls Track had an impressive meet as they beat Milton on Wednesday afternoon. Junior Captain Gina Conti once again finished first in the 800 meter with a time of 2:21. Senior Captain Maddy Shea also did very well as she won both the 100 and 200 meter races.
Boys Track: Boys Track barely edged out a win as they managed to defeat Milton on Wednesday afternoon. Junior Myles Cofield did phenomenally well –winning the 100 meter with a time of 11.3. Senior PJ Hayes, who has been battling injuries all year, easily won the 200 meter as he blew everyone out of the water with a time of 22.1.
Boys Tennis: Boys Tennis had a strong week as they went 2-1 as they defeated both Dedham and Norwood and lost to powerhouse Brookline. Seniors Zack Rogers and Caleb Cofsky had a strong week in doubles as they both played extremely well.
Most Valuable Rebel(s): The Most Valuable Rebels this week are seniors Zack Rogers and Caleb Cofsky for Boys Tennis. Rogers and Cofsky, who are both seasoned veterans for Boys Tennis, have played exceptional all year in their Doubles tandem. Rogers and Cofsky constantly play well as they are almost a sure wins every match. Good job guys!
