Baseball: On Monday afternoon Baseball saw its best pitching performance of the year as senior southpaw Mike Gaughan hurled a no hitter in a 8-1 win against Milton. Gaughan had 13 strikeouts in the game as he absolutely dominated the whole game. Also, Baseball once again won as they beat Dedham 8-3 as they got a great performance from starting pitcher senior Tom Farrow.
Softball: Softball had a big week as they qualified for the tournament with their dominating win against Dedham. Junior Steph Sem had a great week on the mound as she helped lead her team to the win. Also, senior Captain Lauren Bodin had a great day at the plate.
Boys Lacrosse: Boys Lacrosse had a strong week as they beat both Norwood and Braintree by the scores of 8-6 and 11-10. Senior Chris Frye once again led the Rebel offense as he helped net 2 goals in each game.
Girls Lacrosse: Girls Lacrosse made history earlier in the week as they beat Framingham for the first time ever 15-13. Seniors Seana Cofsky and Micheala Tosone both had huge games in the win. Also, Girls Lacrosse continued its great week as they defeated Braintree 13-8.
Girls Track: At the BSC Championship meet senior Maddy Shea did phenomenal as she came in 3rd in the 100 meter with a time of 13.45. Also, junior Captain Gina Conti came in 2nd in the 800 meter with a time of 2:22.15.
Boys Track: On Wednesday Boys Track participated in the BSC Championship meet as they had great performances in this meet. Senior PJ Hayes won the 200 meter with a time of 23.03. Also, junior Myles Cofield came in 4th in the 100 meter with a time of 11.85
Boys Tennis: Boys Tennis had their struggles this week as they went 1-2. Despite their rough week junior Drew Morrier still flourished in his matches.
Girls Tennis: Girls Tennis has helped turn around it season as they won two games this week after being winless in their first 8 matches. Junior Emily Brynes has played great in these matches.
Most Valuable Rebel(s): This weeks Most Valuable Rebel is senior Mike Gaughan of Baseball. Gaughan had one of the best pitching performances in the state so far as he no hit Milton to help lead his team to a victory. Gaughan, a Rollins commit, has been dominant all year as he has helped led Walpole to one of the best records in the state.
