When did you start playing the sport?

I started playing in 6th grade.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

Yes.

Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?

My club coach this past year has been the most prominent because he helped me grow as a player and get a lot of experience by going to big tournaments.

What other activities/sports are you involved in?

I only play volleyball.

How do you feel going into this season?

Okay, we could do pretty well this season if everyone steps up.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them?

One of our main goals is making the state tournament this season, and we plan to do it by focusing at practice and working together.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why?

Newton North and Needham are our biggest opponents because they are two of the better teams in our league and they always give us good competition and make us work hard.

When did you start playing the sport?

I started playing in 7th grade.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

Possibly at the club level.

Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?

A prominent coach in my sports career was my club coach, Ian Blanchard. He formerly coached Division 1 at UMBC and now is the volleyball coach at the University of New England. He taught me a lot about the game in general and really takes a lot of time to help my team improve and focus on the process of improvement while knowing how to push us. He is one of the best coaches I have had the privilege of playing with and I credit him with the skills I have now.

What other activities/sports are you involved in?

I am also in lots of clubs such as the E-Board Secretary for Student Council, NHS, Spanish club, UNICEF, and Women’s Self-Defense club.

How do you feel going into this season?

I feel confident with this group of girls that we can definitely have a fun season. We have a lot of seniors this year, and only half of the team is returning varsity so it is a pretty young team when it comes to varsity experience. I am currently recovering from a concussion and am looking forward to getting back on the court with my team.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them?

We are hoping to work hard enough to make the tournament this season.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why?

We have a competitive schedule this year. Some big opponents this season are definitely Needham, Bishop Feehan, Newton North and King Philip. They consistently have strong cohesive teams that work together very well. We look forward to challenging them soon.

When did you start playing the sport?

I started playing in 5th grade.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

No

Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?

Coach Clemons because she has been there for me on and off the court. She always makes sure to correct me when I make a mistake, so I can make the next pass even better and she always reminds me to keep my head up even when sets are not going our way.

What other activities/sports are you involved in?

I also play softball.

How do you feel going into this season?

I feel good. We have a lot of talent this year.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them?

Our biggest goal is to always work together as a team.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why?

Newton North, Needham, and King Philip are our biggest opponents this year because they have always been strong programs and are always good competition to go back and forth during each set with.
