When did you start playing the sport?

I started in 7th grade.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

No.

Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?

Fiona Murphy has been a prominent coach in my cross country career because she was my first coach that I ever had in middle school XC. She knows so much about running and injuries and has helped me a lot throughout my years at WHS.

What other activities/sports are you involved in?

I run indoor and outdoor track and am also involved in Journalism, French Club, and Community Service Club.

How do you feel going into this season?

Good! I’m excited to have a normal season this year and compete at divisionals and hopefully all-states.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them?

We are hoping to qualify for all-states, compete well in the Bay State League, and continue to build a strong team bond. This year, both girls and boys XC have small teams, so the most important goals are to stay healthy and not be intimidated by the larger teams we compete against. As captains, we are trying our best to be positive and motivate the team, as well as making some fun memories for our last season.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why?

Milton is always a big opponent because our teams are very competitive and they are the only team in our league that we race against at divisionals. It will be interesting to compete against them in our third meet of the season and see how our teams match up.

When did you start playing the sport?

I started in middle school.

Do you want to continue this sport in college?

No.

Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?

Coach Cashman has been a prominent coach in my cross country career because he is passionate about the sport and pushes us to be better both individually and as a team.

What other activities/sports are you involved in?

I also run winter and spring track, and am involved in mock trial and UNICEF.

How do you feel going into this season?

I feel pretty confident in our team because we have strong returning athletes and some younger athletes that can help contribute to our success.

What are some goals set for the team this coming season? How do you plan to achieve them?

Our big goal is to win the Division 2 championship since we placed second to Milton my freshman and sophomore years. We also hope to advance to the All-State Championship this year.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why?

One of our biggest rivals is Milton because we are always competitive with them at divisionals and dual meets and the score is usually very close.

I am still undecided.

Who was a prominent coach in your career? Why?

Coach Cashman because he is a big motivator during practice and meets and he is very supportive of me, especially when the race doesn’t go as well as I had hoped.

What other activities/sports are you involved in?

I feel good. I think it should be a fun season, and hopefully we are able to do well as a team.

One of our biggest goals is to do well at Divisionals and make it to All-States.

Who are some big opponents/rivals? Why?

Milton is our biggest rival because we are always going back and forth between who wins at dual meets and we always see them at Divisionals.
