Danny Morris:
What are your goals and/ or expectations for this upcoming season?
“This year as a team some of our main goals include getting a home playoff game and winning two playoff games, and obviously winning the state championship.”
What does being a leader mean to you and how would you like to leave an impact on the program?
“Being a leader to me means bringing morale up when it is needed and giving everyone motivation to play their hardest and lead by example.”
What is your favorite memory as an athlete?
“My favorite memories do not even come from the games or practices, but from locker rooms to the team dinners. They are always a blast and some of my best laughs come from them.”
Do you play any other sports, if so which ones?
“Yes, lacrosse.”
How have sports played a role in your life?
“They have taught me how to fight through hard times and have determination. They helped me build connections with people. My whole life I played sports and it is an awesome way to make more friends outside of school and make yourself a harder worker.”
Do you plan to continue your sport post high school? If so, where?
“No.”
Michael Roof:
What are your goals and/ or expectations for this upcoming season?
“To go as far as we possibly can and I expect me and my team to leave everything on the ice whether that is during a game or just at a practice.”
What does being a leader mean to you and how would you like to leave an impact on the program?
“I think that a leader should be someone who is seen as a role model, your teammates should be looking to you to see what they should be doing or how they should be working. The impact on this team I would like to leave is no matter what you should be working your hardest no matter where you stand on the totem pole.”
What is your favorite memory as an athlete?
“My favorite memory was our freshman year Elite Eight game against Silver Lake.”
Do you play any other sports, if so which ones?
“I play lacrosse.”
How have sports played a role in your life?
“Hockey has shown me that if you truly focus on a goal and if you work at it you can reach that goal.”
Do you plan to continue your sport post high school? If so, where?
“I do. I do not know where yet but it will not be in college, it will be at a junior team.”
