Victoria (Tori) Adams
What sport are you the captain for?
“My name is Victoria (Tori) Adams and I am captain of the girls basketball team and the girls golf team.”
How do you feel going into this season as a captain and having a large leadership position for your team?
“I feel very good heading into basketball season this year. We do have a new coach and that comes with a lot of changes, but with the group of girls we have this year and the talent and dedication that the group brings, I think we will succeed.”
What do you plan to bring to this year’s season?
“I plan on bringing the energy and loudness and plan on keeping everyone together, doing the right thing.”
Do you plan to continue your sport in college?
“Yes, I am going to continue to play golf at Bentley University.”
What are your goals for your team this season and how do you plan on achieving them?
“My goal this season is to make a long tournament run and to do this we need to show up every day to practice and give it our all and best effort.”
Do you do any clubs/activities outside of your sport?
“Outside of my sports, I love to travel, hang out with friends and family and work.”
What is your advice to newcomers of this sport?
“My advice to younger girls would be to try your best and most importantly have fun because high school sports years all come to an end, so enjoy it.”
Did you foresee yourself being captain in the past, or when you had first started?
“Yes I did, I became captain as a sophomore for golf and this is my first year gaining captainship for basketball.”
What are you looking forward to the most for this season and why?
“I am looking forward to game days the most, specifically home games, because we have the new gym this year and home games are always super fun.”
Do you have any go-to pump-up songs, snacks or pre-game rituals?
“Some pre-game rituals are our team’s songs and dances in the locker room beforehand and I always get a celsius for game days.”
What’s one tradition or ritual you hope to continue or start as a captain this year?
“I hope to continue on these two rituals and make the locker room even more fun this year.”
Isabella (Bella) Bingham
What sport are you the captain for?
“Girls Varsity Basketball.”
How do you feel going into this season as a captain and having a large leadership position for your team?
“I am super excited for the season. We have basically the same team as last year and with the amount of effort and time we have put into the off season, I think that the team is in a great place to begin the season.”
What do you plan on bringing to this year’s season?
“I am a competitive person so I believe that I bring a level of competitiveness to practices and games which helps to push my teammates.”
Do you plan to continue your sport in college?
“No.”
What are your goals for your team this season and how do you plan on achieving them?
“I plan on winning the Bay State Conference then winning the Division Two state championship. It is going to take a lot of hard work that begins now, but I know we can do it.”
Do you do any clubs or activities outside of your sport?
“I play soccer outside of basketball.”
What is your advice to newcomers of this sport?
“Put the work in during the off season as that is one of the best times to grow and become better as a player.”
Did you foresee yourself being captain in the past, or when you had first started?
“I was a captain last year. I have grown up playing basketball with Abby McMann and [Adams] so I was excited to be named captain for this season with them.”
What are you looking forward to the most for this season and why?
“Team dinners and the locker room after winning a game.”
Do you have any go-to pump-up songs, snacks, or pre-game rituals?
“No.”
What’s one tradition or ritual you hope to continue or start as a captain this year?
“Pre-game in the locker room- it’s the best!”
