British male popstar Harry Styles debuted a new album on March 6, titled “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.” After being absent from the public eye for nearly three years, aside from former bandmate Liam Payne’s funeral, Styles is back and has a new chapter ahead of him.
“Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally” is Styles’s fourth studio album and the first since 2022’s “Harry’s House.” Styles released “Aperture” as the album’s lead single on Jan. 22, with a music video.
“Aperture” faced some backlash as a single, as some found Styles’s new disco-like music style to be strange and too drastic from previous albums. Additionally, the track had 12.478 million streams on its first day, but then dropped to only 5.26 million on its second day, making a new record for the fastest streaming downfall in Spotify history. Additionally, Styles performed the single for the first time at the BRIT Awards, but was faced with backlash when many did not like the heavy choreography within the performance. Many believed the choreography was “cheesy” or did not match with the song.
The album as a whole was kept a secret and slowly announced with cryptic online messages, such as releasing a YouTube video titled “Forever, Forever,” reminiscing about his past tour, “Love On Tour.” The end of the video reads: “WE BELONG TOGETHER.” This was followed up with a website: webelongtogether.co, and was later announced to be a song lyric in “Aperture.” The website was used to announce the album later on.
With the album’s announcement, Styles also announced a limited global tour, titled “Together, Together.” The tour includes a 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden in New York CIty. Tickets were extremely limited, with millions of fans signing up for presale for the New York dates alone. Many fans were left disappointed after tickets throughout the arena often sold out in under 20 minutes. Tickets were priced extremely high, with lower-bowl tickets selling for roughly $800. Styles and his team continue to face backlash for the prices and lengthy queues that were present during ticket sales. Each and every show in New York is now entirely sold out, with only resale ticketing options up for sale for the time being.
“Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.” contains 12 tracks, with a runtime of roughly 44 minutes, occupying two LP vinyl records.
