rebel_logo1Boys Hockey:  The hockey team split their two games they played over vacation.  On Wednesday December 26 they won against Acton-Boxbourough 4-2 led by goals from senior Captain John White and sophomore Danny Hamilton.  However, on Decemeber 28, the boys couldn’t handle a tough Coyle Cassidy team, as they lost 4-0.

Boys Basketball:  Boys basketball went .500 this vacation as they beat Boston English 60-53 and lost to Oliver Ames 82-77.  Despite the loss, junior Adam Quinlan was a bright spot, as he had 21 points.

Girls Basketball: Just like the boys, the girls team went .500 over vacation as they beat Shrewsbury 47-45 and lost to Medway 59-42.  Senior Captains Lauren Bodin and Bridget Nicholson had big performances in both games.

Boys Indoor Track:  The track team had an Invitaional meet over vacation as they had excellent performances from individuals.  Senior Connor McCarthy had the best performance out of the day when he placed third in the 55meter hurdle with a time of 8.00.

Girls Indoor Track: Just like the boys, the girls track team also sent individuals to the Holiday Challenge Invitaional.  Senior Megan Peterson did exceptionally well in the 2 mile with a time of 12:13.

Wrestling:  The wrestling team had excellent performances in the Marshfield Holiday Tournament as many wrestlers went deep into the tournament.  Junior Noah Kung had the best performance when he placed second for his weight class.  Also, juniors Trevor Wassel and Kyle Robbins did exceptionally well as they both advanced deep into the tournament.

Most Valuable Rebel:  Junior Noah Kung is definatly worthy of this weeks MVR.  Although he had his first loss of the season, he still managed to place second in one of the toughest tournaments in the whole state.  Also, Noah shocked everyone in the tournament when he upset the number seed who is considered one of the best wrestlers in the state.  Keep up the good work Noah!
