The host of “The Bachelor,” Jesse Palmer, announced in September of 2025 that “Bachelor Nation,” the fans of the Bachelor, will have the opportunity to embark on a cruise across the Caribbean Sea. Scheduled to leave Miami on Nov. 16, 2026, the cruise will take the guests to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The four night cruise involves a series of activities with the contestants from previous seasons of the show.
After Chris Harrison’s retirement, in 2021, from hosting “The Bachelor” for over 20 years, Palmer began his reign as the host in September of 2021. A former National Football League (NFL) player and Season 28 contestant, Palmer expresses his excitement for the fans to see first-hand the connections that formed on the show; ultimately, the cruise is a great way for fans to have first hand interactions. For one, the cruise will give fans the opportunity to talk to their favorite contestants.
“It gives us an opportunity to really spend time with Bachelor Nation. They’re the greatest fans of any show out there. We’re going to be having panels, we’ve got trivia, we’ve got bingo, there’s music, watch parties,” Palmer said.
Most recently, “The Golden Bachelor”— where contestants are older than in the normal show — surprised fans. Some of the alumni of “The Golden Bachelor” who have announced that they will be on the cruise include Susan Noles, Kathy Swarts, Sandra Mason and Joan Vassos, who was recently engaged to a contestant from her season.
In an E-News poll, a majority of fans expressed that Ryan and Trista Sutter are their favorite couple; the two were the very first contestants to appear on the show when it first aired on Mar. 25, 2002 and they are still married to this day. On the cruise, the couple will hold a watching party for fans to rewatch their experience on the show that took place over two decades ago.
After creating “The Golden Bachelor” in 2023 and having the prize be a $450,000 reward, “The Bachelor” has mixed reactions from their fans. Many believe “The Bachelor” used to be set apart from other reality shows because it was based on the connections that were formed rather than financial gain.; however, others see the prize as an opportunity for the younger contestants to start a life together.
During the cruise, Palmer will announce the Bachelor’s decision on whether money should be involved as a prize for next season. However, former contestants Andrew Spencer and Alexe Godin express their gratitude to their fans for allowing them to start a life together with the money that they won.
“It’s like you win love and money. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. What else could you ask for?,” Godin said.
Palmer and his fellow host, Wells Adams, guarantee the cruise to be the most dramatic cruise ever: a pun at the famous line the host has said to keep fans intrigued for the past two decades.
On the cruise, guests have multiple options a day on what activities they would like to participate in: zen cursing, run club, table tennis tournament and many more. Overall, the cruise across the Caribbean Sea offers fans many activities and the opportunity to interact with previous contestants.
