On August 22, Starbucks released their fall menu marking the unspoken start of the autumn season. This year, certain drinks made their comeback while others made their way on to the menu for a limited time. In order to review all the options, we choose the drinks that sounded the most interesting to us to review. We split the five drinks we chose, two different drinks for each of us then both reviewed one of the same.
Liv’s Review:
Pumpkin Spice Latte
“The handcrafted beverage combines Starbucks Signature Espresso and steamed milk with the celebrated flavor combination of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices, the beverage is available hot, iced or blended,” Starbucks website said.
This drink was my favorite out of all the ones I tried. The Pumpkin Spice Latte was an excellent blend of coffee and pumpkin. Topped with whipped cream, this festive drink is the perfect treat for a rainy fall day.
Iced Pecan Crunch Oat Milk Latte
“Made with Starbucks® Blonde Espresso Roast and oat milk. Nutty flavors of pecan, rich brown-buttery notes and holiday baking spices come together for a smooth and flavorful treat, topped with a crunchy pecan-flavored sugar,” Starbucks website said.
This being the first drink that I tried, it was very good. The drink wasn’t too sweet and it was refreshing. However, I didn’t taste that much pecan or nut flavor. Instead of the pecan being the most prominent flavor of the drink, it was more like a subtle flavor as the coffee overpowered it. This drink is perfect for someone who doesn’t like pumpkin flavor but is still looking for a fall flavored drink.
Kate’s Review:
Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
“Crafted with Starbucks® Cold Brew sweetened with vanilla syrup, topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and a pumpkin spice topping to create a perfectly balanced fall sip,” Starbucks website said.
From the first sip this drink was very foreign to me. Cold brew has never been my favorite, yet I decided to try it. For some reason I expected this drink to be a bit sweeter due to the pumpkin cold foam topping. I think the bitter cold brew does not really go well with the sugary cold foam. This drink is definitely for those who prefer cold brew.
Iced Apple Crisp (Non-Dairy) Cream Chai
“Iced Apple Crisp Non Dairy Cream Chai features warming spice flavors of chai combined with creamy oat milk and topped with non dairy apple crisp cold foam, for a seasonal sip that is reminiscent of homemade apple pie often enjoyed at fall gatherings,” Starbucks website said.
When I tried this drink, I felt it was much more of a Christmas drink than fall, I even had my mom try it and she agreed. My mom has a candle that smells exactly like the drink that she lights around Christmas time. The drink itself however was surprisingly good. If I had not known that the drink was non-dairy I would have never guessed that it was.

Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte
“Creamy fall beverage pairs a rich blend of spiced chai notes with pumpkin cream cold foam and a pumpkin spice topping,” Starbucks website said.
Kate’s Opinion: This was the only drink out of my three that I loved enough to finish, so it is by far my favorite drink. I am a regular chai drinker so I expected it to be one of my favorites. Overall, the actual drink does not really taste like pumpkin; however, the cold foam with the pumpkin topping adds all the extra flavor needed .
Liv’s Opinion: In my opinion, this drink was definitely the sweetest out of the ones I tried because of the pumpkin and chai combination. It was almost overpowering; however, it blended nicely with the chai, creating the perfect balance. In addition to this, the drink wasn’t bitter which was enjoyable. I wouldn’t usually order this drink but I highly recommend it for someone who tends to enjoy drinks on the sweeter side.
